Once Upon A Time…

Ages 4-7

Saturday Mornings: 9:30 am to 10:45am

Tuition: $130

Teachers: Karen Gossett & Kay Lamb

 

Students will learn valuable lessons for life as they explore the classical works of Mother Goose!

Through the imitation and recreation of the wisdom of Mother Goose, the young artist will progress through dramatic play to creative drama.

Thus, the innate creativity of the child will be focused and strengthened as a result of this course. (Guest Artist for the class: Mother Goose)

 

Characterization through Improvisation

Ages 8-11

Saturday Mornings: 10 am to 12 noon

Tuition: $200

Teacher:  Jennie Lynn Patten 

This course is a study of the art of acting through the use of improvisational games.

The student's skills in creativity and imagination will be enhanced and their approach

to developing a distinct and unique character within a scene will be strengthened

as a result of this study.Improvisation is essential if the actor is to develop the

spontaneity necessary to createin each performance “the illusion of the first time”.

 

STAGE COMBAT

Ages 12-18

Saturday Mornings: 11:15 am to 1:15 pm

Tuition: $200

Teacher: Joshua Scott Hancock

 

This course is designed to develop one of the two major tools used by an actor, the BODY.

Students will be introduced to techniques required for an actor of the live stage and/or film.

Techniques requiring skills such as spatial perception, body awareness, rhythmic sense and a

natural sense of the execution of basic stage movement will be developed and strengthened within the class study.
